Dear Dr. Freedy:

\J
Enclosed are some data sheets on our two mechanical arms. The Model M.I.T. arm
is priced at $7,700 and comes with a hand, power supply, power amplifiers, brake drivers,
and a manual controller which allows rate control of selected individual
joints. The arm is designed to be interfaced to a computer. Most of the
groups buying our arms have PDP 11/40 or 11/45 or similar computers.
In the near future (probably before the end of the year) we will offer an interface and some basic
software for simple plug-in installation of our arms with some of the more popular
computers (DEC and NOVA). This interface will cost about $3000 and will
include the required DAC's , A/D's , etc.

You expressed interest in a hardware position servo system. Well, we are also looking
into this area, and expect to have a prototype position servo controller operating
shortly. This unit takes position commands from the computer, paper tape, ROM storage, etc. and servos the arm
to the commanded position.

	Should you have any furthur
questions, please feel free to contact
me again for more specific information.\.
